Community Housing Initiative Inc. Mission

Community Housing Initiative develops, builds, acquires and re-positions residential properties. Areas of expertise include affordable housing projects, market rate age restricted and family oriented communities.  A large part of our mission is to work with a variety of organizations to meet their missions.  CHI is currently teaming with several religious organizations to develop age restricted communities with affordable housing components.  In working with a religious organization, CommunityHousing identifies underutilized parcels, usually adjacent to the place of worship.  These projects provide housing for congregants and non-congregants alike.

In addition, Community Housing Initiative is teaming with several counties creating affordable housing both on privately owned parcels and county owned property.  The goal is to assist various types of institutions to develop Low Income Housing Tax Credit [LIHTC] funded projects.

Community Housing Initiative [CHI] understands that a quality property creates an environment for happy residents.  Every property is developed with a sensitivity to the lifestyle, needs and comforts of its residents.  To accomplish this, CHI assembles a development and construction team that understands that superior projects are the result of seamless team work.  Though many of the team members work project to project, since acquisition and development are unique to the location, team members may vary to maximize efficiency.  CHI believes there is no substitute for hands-on service or the accountability and integrity it creates.  Community Housing Initiative provides a personalized level of service using the significant experience and technical capabilities developed over its 35 years of professional experience.
