The Cascades of Frederick, located in the Frederick, MD is a 100% Affordable building for residents 62 years or older. The units will be rented to those qualifying with incomes 60% of AMI or below. The site is located less than 2 Miles from downtown Frederick and is within walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, convenience stores and more! The building amenities include an exercise room, yoga/wellness room, a library with a coffee station, a gathering room, sitting areas, a Pub/Lounge, BBQ Stations, Fire Pits, Garden Stations as well as a dog park and dog wash station, in addition to walking paths throughout the site. This project is to be financed utilizing a HUD 231 Loan as well Low-Income Housing Tax Credits issued by the Community Development Authority for the State of Maryland. This project was completed in February 2024 with a separate Assisted Living Phase to be developed in the future.
