The Highlands, set to break ground in Q4 of 2024, is a 137-unit Senior Affordable Housing project that will be located on the Campus of First Baptist Church of Highland Park (FBCHP) in Landover, MD. CHI & FBCHP entered into a JV Agreement where FBCHP has contributed their land and CHI will provide all financing, and expertise to entitle, construct, and operate the building. CHI & FBCHP will share the ownership of the building. The facility, once completed, will include amenities found in similar market-rate projects such as a large multipurpose room with billiards, TVs, a warming kitchen, a Fitness Center, a yoga studio, bike storage, a medical exam room, a hair salon, exterior walking paths with outdoor seating areas, and a garden.
